SUUNTO Traverse Alpha Hard Reset is a device reset to factory settings. This operation deletes all data, settings, passwords and applications in the memory device. Hard Reset operation is most commonly used to repair a damaged or malfunctioning equipment or deletion of user data before the sale. Hard Reset operation will wipe all data, bypass screen lock and restore device software to factory state.

How to hard reset SUUNTO Traverse Alpha?

  1. In the first place, you need a computer with SuuntoLink application installed to perform the Hard Reset. You’ll also need the USB cable that you can use to connect your watch to the computer.
  2. If you don’t have the SuuntoLink application you can get it on https://www.suunto.com/en-us/Support/software-support/suuntolink/
  3. Now start the SuuntoLink application on your computer, then plug one end of the cable to your watch and the second end to the USB port in your computer.
  4. Next, click on the Settings button (Gear icon).
  5. Click on the “WATCHES”.
  6. Continue by clicking on the “Reset all settings”.
  7. Then  click on the “RESET ALL SETTINGS” button.
  8. To finish click on the “RESET WATCH” to reset your device.
  9. Wait a while for the process to be complete.

Finish! Your device will have the software and set of applications as the moment they leave the factory.

*Take a backup: Before you can use Hard Reset always remember to make copies of your data, because the operation is irreversible and recover previous data and settings will not be possible.

*Caution: Using the Hard Reset is safe and should not cause any damage. However, you need to make sure the device has over 30% battery so the process does not stop halfway.
