SUUNTO Traverse Hard Reset is a device reset to factory settings. This operation deletes all data, settings, passwords and applications in the memory device. Hard Reset operation is most commonly used to repair a damaged or malfunctioning equipment or deletion of user data before the sale. Hard Reset operation will wipe all data, bypass screen lock and restore device software to factory state.

How to hard reset SUUNTO Traverse?

  1. In the beginning, you need a computer with SuuntoLink application installed. You’ll also need the USB cable that you can use to connect your watch to the computer.
  2. You can get the SuuntoLink application on https://www.suunto.com/en-us/Support/software-support/suuntolink/
  3. Turn on SuuntoLink application on your computer, then plug one end of the cable to your watch and the second end to the USB port in your computer.
  4. Click on the Settings button (Gear icon).
  5. Now click on the “WATCHES”.
  6. Then click on the “Reset all settings”.
  7. Click on the “RESET ALL SETTINGS” button.
  8. Click on the “RESET WATCH” to reset your device.
  9. Wait until the process is complete.

Finish! Your device will have the software and set of applications as the moment they leave the factory.

*Take a backup: Before you can use Hard Reset always remember to make copies of your data, because the operation is irreversible and recover previous data and settings will not be possible.

*Caution: Using the Hard Reset is safe and should not cause any damage. However, you need to make sure the device has over 30% battery so the process does not stop halfway.
