RSD Lite Tool, also referred to as Remote Software Download Lite, is a software application for Windows, created by Motorola. It enables users to flash firmware and conduct various maintenance operations on Motorola devices.

ROM Installation Guide Using RSD Lite

1. Launch RSD Lite on your computer.
2. Connect your phone to the PC using a USB flash cable. Ensure the phone’s battery is fully charged.
3. Power on your phone. A Motorola USB device will be listed in the device window of RSD Lite.
4. Click ‘Browse’ and select the flashfile.xml from the ROM files. The file properties window on the upper right will display the selected file’s details.
5. Select your phone in the Device window. Its information will appear in the Device properties window on the upper left.
6. Press ‘Start’ to initiate the flashing process.
7. Once completed, the result column will indicate if the operation was successful. The phone will then power off.
8. Turn on your phone and execute a Master Reset/Master Clear to finalize the installation.
